FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

 

How do I join a voice chat room?

Simply select a room from the Venting Spaces screen and tap "Join". You can enter with an optional username or remain anonymous.

 

Is my voice recorded?

No. Your voice is transmitted in real-time during active sessions but is not recorded or stored. Audio is processed only during active voice chat sessions.

 

How do I report inappropriate behavior?

If you encounter inappropriate behavior, please contact us immediately at support@theventroom.app (replace with your actual email) with details about the incident. Our moderation team will review and take appropriate action.

 

Can I delete my data?

Yes. To request deletion of your data, please contact us at support@theventroom.app (replace with your actual email) with your request. We will process your request within 30 days.

 

The app is not working properly. What should I do?

Please try the following:

 

• Ensure you have a stable internet connection

• Close and restart the app

• Update to the latest version of the app

• If the issue persists, contact us at support@theventroom.app (replace with your actual email) with details about the problem

 

How do I request access to my data?

To request a copy of your data, please email us at theventroom18@gmail.com with "Data Access Request" in the subject line. Include your device identifier if possible.

• Your device model and iOS version

• App version (found in Settings)

• Description of the issue

• Steps to reproduce the problem (if applicable)

Child safety standards – The Vent Room

The Vent Room is committed to preventing and responding to child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE).

 

Our standards:

Prevention

  • We do not allow content that sexualizes or endangers minors.

  • Our Community Guidelines and Terms of Use prohibit child sexual abuse material (CSAM) and any conduct that exploits or endangers children.

  • We use moderation and in-app reporting to identify and remove violating content and accounts.

Reporting and response

  • Users can report child safety concerns in-app (Support & Contact; in-app reporting where available).

  • We review all reports and remove content that violates our policies.

  • We report apparent CSAM and related evidence to relevant regional and national authorities (e.g. NCMEC in the US and equivalent bodies elsewhere) as required by law.
